To make this class more meaningful it would be good idea to purchase a file box or notebook to store all your Art activities in. You will be much more likely to use and add to these lessons/activities if they are all in one place and organized.

To Do:

Read over the information in the STARS Art for Kids Workbook. Why do you think that the art area is one the favorites of most young children? There are many skills that very young children can learn through Art experiences. Write out one art activity that could be presented under each of these skill areas and why:

  1. Small motor skills

  2. Large motor skills

  3. Sorting

  4. Following directions

  5. Predicting

  6. Color identification/mixing

  7. Creativity

Please write out these 3 activities in the lesson plan format that you normally use in your classroom. Or, if you like, you may use the sample format below:

Please complete a short write up on the art activities you found. List your favorite website address for Art. Type this on your computer and save it  as assignment #3.
