All the following classes can be started at ANYTIME. They are available on line 24 hours a day, 7 days per week for your convenience in completing your assignments. STARS 20 Hour Basic for centers & home care $100:
This class is designed to help improve the child care workers understanding of child development and improve child care skills on the job. Ten key units are covered throughout the course: Growth & Development, Learning through Play, Planning Activities, Children’s Needs, Communication Skills, Child Guidance, Guidance Techniques, Health & Safety, Nutrition & Care, and Professionalism. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.

This class is designed for child care workers that deal with before & after school child care programs. This class is designed to help improve the child care workers understanding of child development and improve child care skills on the job. This course will cover units on Health, Wellness, Illness Procedure, Safety, First aid, and Childhood Nutrition. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
STARS 10 Hour Family Systems $100:
This course will cover units on Family structure, relationships, communication, learning disabilities, and behavior problems. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
STARS 10 Hour Individual & Cultural Diversity $100:
This course will cover units on Diversity, cultures, personality types, brain research, character, and harassment. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.

This course will cover units on appropriate activities, room arrangement, centers, and room management. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
STARS 10 Hour Pre-Reading Skills $100:
This course will cover units on enhancing skills in pre-reading, setting up activities and programs to improve the reading readiness of Preschool children. At completion a Certificate will be issued.

This course will cover units on enhancing skills in art & creativity, setting up activities and programs to enhance the art skills & readiness of Preschool children. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
STARS 10 Hour Classroom Management $100:
This course will cover units on enhancing skills in classroom management. Information on setting up activities and programs to improve the classroom climate. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
STARS 10 Hour Medication Safety for Children $100:
This course will cover units on enhancing your understanding of medications. The administration techniques are explained in an understandable format. Current over the counter drug information is listed as well as state laws & guidelines. A parent information section is included. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
STARS 10 Hour Milestones: Zero to Three $100:
This course will explain the key milestones that young children progress through in their development from birth to age three. Age appropriate activities, games and wordplays are used to enhance this development. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
STARS 10 Hour The Eco-Healthy Child Care $100:
This course will cover eight specific Eco-Healthy areas that relate to child care. Going green at your worksite is a very good idea, this class will show you how. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
STARS 10 Hour Administration 1 - "Portfolio & Files" $100:
This course is specifically for Child Care Center Directors, Home Child Care Owners, and/or Program Supervisors. This 10 hour course will meet the 5 hours of required Administration coursework for annual renewal of the Washington State Child Care Licensing. This course will cover the management skills needed to run a child care facility. Goal setting, portfolio development, and facility promotion will be covered. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
STARS 10 Hour Administration 2 - "Staffing" $100:
This course is specifically for Child Care Center Directors, Child Care Owners, and/or Program Supervisors. This 10 hour course will meet the 5 hours of required Administration coursework for annual renewal of the Washington State Child Care Licensing. This course will cover the management skills needed to run a child care facility. Organizational structure, hiring standards, and developing job descriptions will be covered. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
STARS 10 Hour Administration 3 - "Web Development" $100:
This course is specifically for Child Care Center Directors, Home Child Care Owners, and/or Program Supervisors. This 10 hour course will meet the 5 hours of required Administration coursework for annual renewal of the Washington State Child Care Licensing. To complete this course you will develop a working website based "Hotlist". This is an Internet based education center. You may choose to set up your Hotlist as an information center to be used by the Parents at your center/home, or you can set it up for your staff as a training tool. Learn basic web building skills while using this new program. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
STARS 10 Hour Administration 4 - "Parent Orientation" $100:
This course is specifically for Child Care Center Directors, Home Child Care Owners, and/or Program Supervisors. This 10 hour course will meet the 5 hours of required Administration coursework for annual renewal of the Washington State Child Care Licensing. This course will cover units on the research behind parent involvement, setting up parent meetings, and developing parent partnerships throughout the year. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
STARS 10 Hour Administration 5 - "Business Plan" $100:
This course is specifically for Child Care Center Directors, Home Child Care Owners, and/or Program Supervisors. This 10 hour course will meet the 5 hours of required Administration coursework for annual renewal of the Washington State Child Care Licensing. The course will walk you through the steps to write a business plan. Business plans are the backbone of every business. A workbook and website links will be provided for this class. At completion a Certificate will be issued.
